The winter season is the best time for kite surfing in North Queensland as the dangerous jellyfish are present during the summer months.

Port Douglas

Port Douglas works best in NE or SE winds. Most kite surfers set up and ride at the south end of Four Mile Beach, though the entire beach is kiteable. The conditions are beginner friendly, mostly flat with a small shore break. Great spot in the winter months (end of May-September).
